Challenge
Image quality and variety were lacking
Different products in its collection see different rates of success. Some score #1 in Amazon best sellers, while others struggle to gain traction.
Its Black Solid Phone Strap in particular was struggling to gain traction. And SteadyStraps didn’t know what to do to change things up.

When it plugged the Amazon listing into soona Listing Insights, it earned a dismal score of 68 out of 100. We optimized the listing for their Solid Black Strap variation on Amazon.

While the amount of images was okay, image quality and visual mix were lacking.
Solution
Back to the basics
soona Listing Insights identified a few key areas of opportunity—improving its products on white photos and incorporating some close-up detail shots.

It also noted that SteadyStraps could use higher resolution photos—the ones it was using were less than the recommended 1600 pixels wide. This is so shoppers can zoom into product photos and still see quality visuals with ample detail.

So SteadyStraps worked with the soona team to capitalize on these opportunities, creating an improved Amazon product listing.
Outcome
Units ordered increased by 12.5% from April to June
After soona delivered professional product photos to SteadyStraps, everything began to change.

To start, it scored higher in Listing Insights—showcasing lifestyle photography, photos with models, images that show product size and scale, and even an Amazon infographic. “Our soona Listing Insight’s Score for our lead product was 68 and we improved our lead product’s listing with a soona score of 96,” says Larry Walters, founder of SteadyStraps.

Plus, we addressed those issues mentioned above. “The photographer assigned to conduct our photo shoots was wonderful!” says Larry. “She was very creative, highly skilled, accommodated all our requests, and did an excellent job on the photos, including conducting an additional, specialized photo shoot with a hand model.”

With new, high-quality Amazon product photos, SteadyStraps slowly started to see results.
While it didn’t see a significant improvement from April 2024 to May 2024, comparisons from April to June provided stronger cases for improvements in listing performance.
In fact, the number of units ordered increased by 12.5% from April to June—selling 50% more units than the sessions leader who had 54% more sessions and 68% more page views than Black Solid in June 2024.
The Black Solid product sold 28.6% more units than the next closest variation. It also increased sessions by 103.9% and page views by 227.7% from April to June.
