How LEVO Oil Created Product Photos and Videos that Convert Buyers

LEVO Oil is an innovator in its industry, allowing people to make their own oils and butters more delicious than ever. Yum! 

Challenge

LEVO is a premium kitchen appliance for preparing herbal infusions at home, mess-free. LEVO machines use heat to transfer flavor, scent, color, and nutrients from a variety of botanical ingredients into oil or butter. Rosemary-infused butter, anyone?!

Product content was a core piece of the LEVO marketing strategy. “We were looking to create some fun recipe videos for our users to inspire them, and to show potential customers just how easy it is to use LEVO!” says Olivia Harris, head of brand.

However, while the folks at LEVO are experts in oils—they knew they weren't experts when it came to product photography and videos. So the team knew they needed outside help to capture images that will actually drive online sales. 

Solution

LEVO enlisted the help of soona. During two full-day shoots, LEVO worked with our diverse team of in-house photographers and videographers to create entertaining recipe videos, product “how-to-use” videos, lifestyle flat lays, and recipe photos. 

“The entire process from start to finish was seamless,” says Harris. “I especially appreciated the ability to see photos and videos as they were taken. This way I was able to make sure we were getting exactly what we needed versus having regrets for missing something after the shoot when the recordings and photos are reviewed.”

Outcome

The results couldn’t have been better. “[Everything was] clean, functional, and polished. Easily adaptable to a variety of needs and styles,” says Harris. 

LEVO took advantage of the quality content it received and maximized its investment by repurposing the visuals for other applications. 

“We used photography for our press kit, website and email campaigns,” says Harris. “Video went on YouTube and on the LEVO Journal, and all was shared on social media! It certainly made our website product pages look more robust and offer compelling lifestyle images for both our products while pitching to press and editors.”

In fact, content refreshes with soona are now part of the LEVO calendar. “We plan on booking a holiday content shoot in October,” Harris says.
